Day 02: Travel to Besham
We will leave early in the morning for Besham, the administrative and commercial centre of the Shangla District in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. The town has quite good overnight accommodations in inexpensive motels along the Indus River. The rest of the day is free.
Day 03: Travel to Gilgit
After breakfast, we'll board the KKH for the 9-hour journey to Gilgit. The travel today will take us to the breathtaking scenery of Nanga Parbat, Rakaposhi, and Haramosh peaks. The day has been exhausting but also gratifying. We will travel down the Indus River through the towns of Patan, Komila, Dassu, and Chilas. Today, we'll visit a lot of rock carvings and inscriptions on KKH. The Silk Route rock art is similar to a guest book of prehistoric explorers, traders, warriors, and pilgrims.
Day 04: Sightseeing in Gilgit
The day will be spent touring this historically rich mountain city. Gilgit has a significant historical past due to its location at the crossroads of central and southern Asia. Kirghiz impacted the city. Chinese, Arabs, and Tibetans are all represented. The location was also historically a bazaar where Silk Road merchants and travelers would barter goods and share ideas. Marco Polo passed through the town on his trip to China in the 13th century. We will travel to Kargah Nala after breakfast to witness the seventh-century rock-carved Buddha, a monastery, and stupas. We can watch famous polo tournaments in the evening.
Day 05: Drive to Hunza
Today, travel to Hunza. Karimabad will impress you with its outstanding natural beauty and warm culture. We will travel and lodge in close proximity to massive mountain peaks. After breakfast, we will go to Hunza in a vehicle. The line of collision between the Indian subcontinent and the Asian geological plates will be visible near Chalt. We will stop for refreshments and photographs at the base of the 7788m high Rakaposhi peak, the world's 27th tallest. We will arrive at Karimabad around lunchtime and explore the 400-year-old Altit and Baltit forts. You will also be able to see magnificent mountains from your hotel window. Passu, Shishpar, Ultar, and Rakaposhi, all of which are over 7,000 meters high, overshadow and surround the town.
Day 06: Excursion to Khunjerab Pass
This 5- to 6-hour excursion will begin early in the morning and will take you to the Khunjerab Pass (4733m), the world's highest paved road border crossing. We will enjoy the unique and stunning views during the tour, as well as visits to the snouts of the glaciers Borit, Passu, and Gulkin. The Ganesh watch tower and rock carvings are additional worthwhile stops that will be made today. In the Karakoram National Park, we will have opportunities to witness wildlife. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 07: Free Day
Free day for just relaxing or taking optional walks and shops
Day 08: Drive back to Chilas
Drive (9 hours) over the Karakorum Highway to Chilas. Meals and lodging at a hotel.
Day 09: Drive to Islamabad
Travel to Islamabad (9–10 hours)
Day 10: Fly back to Home country
Our personnel will transport all of our customers to the airport at their scheduled departure times. All of our partner hotels have a 12pm check-out time.
