Holiday Overview
Pumari Chhish has a long exploration history, with the first successful climb engraved in mountaineering history. In 1979, a Japanese expedition from the Hokkaido Alpine Association collaborated with a gallant Pakistani Army commander, Captain Nazar Abbas from the 29th Signal Regiment, to summit this hard mountain. Their ascent, which began with a long and difficult route from the Khunyang Glacier, laid the groundwork for future expeditions.
The Pumari Chhish Expedition departs from the scenic Hispar district of Gilgit-Baltistan's Nagar Valley. While there is an alternate route from the Biafo Glacier in the Baltoro region, the way through the Nagar Valley and the Hispar Glacier is known for being more accessible and shorter, making it the preferred option for this incredible journey.
The best time to climb to the peak is usually during Pakistan's summer months, from May to August when the weather conditions are ideal for mountaineering. During this time, you will be able to witness the majesty of Pumari Chhish, which is surrounded by amazing natural beauty and awe-inspiring sceneries.
The Pumari Chhish Expedition invites you to not only test your limitations but also to form a deep bond with the wild grandeur of the Karakoram. It promises to be an adventure that will leave you with enduring memories and a strong respect for nature's magnificence. Join us as we journey deep into the Karakoram and summit Pumari Chhish, a symbol of human perseverance in the face of nature's awe-inspiring grandeur.
