Holiday Overview
The location of Muztagh Tower Peak, between the Sarpo Laggo and Baltoro glaciers, contributes to its attraction. A historic photograph shot in 1909 of the peak's unusual twin towers motivated mountaineers from all over the world to attempt the difficult ascent of this famed ice tower. The peak's prominence peaked in 1956 when British and French expeditions raced to the summit. In this thrilling race, the British team won a historic triumph, reaching the summit five days before their French rivals, via the Northwest ridge. The French team, on the other hand, tackled the mountain's east flank, emphasizing the mountain's diversified and demanding nature.
