As you climb higher into the mountains, the air becomes crisper and the views become more breathtaking. Trekkers get the opportunity to contact local communities along the journey, learning about their distinct way of life and culture.
The trek's high point is reached when you get to Majrooh Top, which is at least 4,900 metres above sea level. Trekkers are greeted by a 360-degree picture of the central Karakoram Mountains here, among pure nature and surrounded by towering peaks. The sight of K-2, the world's second-highest summit, is particularly captivating. The sight of this natural beauty and the surrounding giants is humbling and leaves an unforgettable impact on the soul.
After taking in the breathtaking views from Majrooh Top, the walk becomes a two-day descent back to Kanday hamlet. While progressively descending to lower heights, trekkers can reflect on their wonderful adventures. It also allows visitors to experience the region's different landscapes and ecosystems, which range from harsh highlands to verdant valleys.
After returning to Kanday village, hikers retrace their steps back to Skardu by road. Travellers can continue their trip from Skardu or return to Islamabad, the starting location of this spectacular trek.
