The best time to attempt this difficult ascent is between May and August, which coincides with the season of favourable weather conditions that prepare the path for mountaineering achievement.
The Karakoram Mountain Range, a geological marvel, spans Pakistan and China and is home to some of the world's most recognised peaks, including the famed K2 and Nanga Parbat. This range, which spans around 500 kilometres in length and 200 kilometres in width, connects with the Hindukush and Himalaya Mountains at several points. Aside from its majestic peaks, the region is known for its gorgeous valleys and various inhabitants, including the thriving towns of Skardu, Hunza, and Gilgit. The fast-flowing Hunza River, a prominent feature of the landscape, flows southward to join the Indus River before continuing its trek across the country to the Arabian Sea.
