Holiday Overview
Choricho Peak is located in the Baltoro Muztagh, a sub-range of the Karakoram Mountains, beside some of the world's most challenging peaks. The Karakoram Mountain Range is a massive chain that spans both Pakistan and China, with iconic peaks like K2, Gasherbrum, and Nanga Parbat. This vast range stretches for 500 km and is 200 kilometres wide, serving as a natural bridge connecting the Hindukush and Himalaya Mountains at various spots.
Choricho Peak is best climbed during the summer season in Pakistan, from May to August, when the weather conditions are optimal for mountaineering. Following a successful ascent, travellers have two appealing options: they can start on a walk towards the majestic Concordia, also known as the 'Throne Room of the Mountain Gods,' due to the presence of huge peaks in the region. Alternatively, they can return to Skardu, a region known for its lush pastures and rich cultural legacy that has earned it the title of one of Pakistan's most beautiful locales.
The base camp for the Choricho Peak Expedition can be reached by jeep from the nearby town of Skardu after a thorough briefing and debriefing at the tourism department. Choricho Peak is surrounded by neighbouring summits, some of which tower beyond 5000 metres, others which fly to 6000 metres, and yet others which reach astonishing heights of 7000 metres, making this region home to some of the world's highest peaks.
Whether you're a seasoned mountaineer or a first-time explorer, the Choricho Peak Expedition will provide you with memories to last a lifetime. Join us on this spectacular journey into the heart of the Karakoram, and be a part of an adventure that will leave you in awe of this remarkable region's natural magnificence.
