Latok I Expedition
The Latok 1 Expedition is a spectacular climbing endeavor in Pakistan's Karakoram Mountains. Latok 1 is one of four peaks of the Latok Sar group, located in the Panmah Muztagh subrange and rising at an astounding height of 7,145 meters (23,442 ft). This summit, together with Latok 2, Latok 3, and Latok 4, provides climbers with a rigorous test of technical skill and stamina.
A Japanese expedition completed the first successful ascent of Latok 1 in 1979. Similarly, an Italian team reached Latok 2, the collection's second-highest peak, in 1977.
