Holiday Overview
Momhil Sar is a defining feature of Pakistan's magnificent Karakoram Mountains. This huge mountain range spanning Pakistan and China is famous for housing some of the world's most recognisable peaks, including the fabled K2. The Karakoram, which is around 500 kilometres long and 200 kilometres wide, intersects with both the Hindu Kush and Himalaya Mountains at various points, creating a geological marvel of epic proportions. Each peak and valley in the Karakoram offers a distinct and breathtaking experience.
The Karakoram Range is also the birthplace of several important rivers, like the Hunza and Indus, which are critical to the region's survival. The best time to climb Momhil Sar is during the summer months of Pakistan, from May to August, when weather conditions are most favourable for mountaineering.
You have the option to continue your quest after your successful excursion to the peak. You can choose to journey to Concordia, which is known as the "Throne Room of the Mountain Gods" due to the presence of high peaks in the area. This tour provides an up-close touch with nature's magnificence. Alternatively, you might return to the Nagar Valley, which is regarded as one of Pakistan's most beautiful locales. The valley is recognised for its lush meadows, rich cultural legacy, and friendly people.
The Momhil Sar Expedition promises a stunning and life-changing experience that includes not only the accomplishment of summiting a difficult peak but also a profound connection with the untamed grandeur of the Karakoram. Join us as we journey deep into the Karakoram and ascend Momhil Sar, a symbol of nature's grandeur and the undying spirit of adventure.
