Holiday Overview
This region is home to some of the world's most iconic peaks, including the famed K2 and Gasherbrum, and is located inside the Karakoram Mountains, a massive range that serves as a natural barrier between Pakistan and China. The Karakoram Range interacts with both the Hindukush and Himalaya Mountains at several points throughout its 500-kilometre length and 200-kilometre width.
The best time to climb to the peak of Vigne Peak is during Pakistan's summer season, which lasts from May through August. The weather conditions are ideal for mountaineering during this time of year. The journey begins with a thorough briefing at the tourism department, after which adventurers embark from Skardu, a scenic town accessible by jeep. Their journey takes them through the beautiful Baltoro Glacier, finally branching into the sub-range dominated by Vigne Peak.
Vigne Peak is surrounded by towering peaks that range in height from 5,000 meters to a breathtaking 7,000 meters. This variety presents an exciting playground for both mountaineers and nature lovers. The excursion can conclude with a trek to Concordia, often known as the 'Throne Room of the Mountain Gods,' due to its proximity to massive peaks that dominate the surrounding landscape. Alternatively, explorers can return to Skardu, a charming town known for its beautiful meadows and rich cultural legacy.
