Werthum Pass Trek
The Werthum Pass Trek, also known as "Werthum" (meaning "millstone" in the local Wakhi language), is a relatively less-traveled mountain pass at an elevation of 5,315 meters. This pass connects the Batura Glacier to the Lupgar Valley in the Chapursan region, which is located to the north.
This pass provides an alternative departure route from the upper regions of the Batura Glacier for trekkers and mountaineers who have traveled into the difficult terrain of the Werthum Valley. It is especially appealing to those who have explored the Werthum Valley and want to make their way to the Lupgar Valley.

Holiday Overview
The Werthum Valley is notable for its rough and diversified environment, which is located north of the Batura Glacier. This valley contains a mixture of reasonably easy, non-technical snowy peaks and more difficult technical summits ranging in elevation from 5,400 meters to 5,900 meters. These peaks can be seen both at the valley's head and along the Shireen Maidan Glacier, affectionately known as the "sweet field" glacier.
The spectacular panoramic views offered by the Werthum Pass are one of the key draws for trekkers and climbers. The breathtaking sight of the six Batura peaks and the towering Shishpar Mountain may be enjoyed from the pass's vantage point. This visual spectacle not only delivers a gratifying experience but also a sense of accomplishment for those who successfully complete the pass. In terms of technical difficulties, traversing Werthum Pass does not necessitate advanced climbing skills. Basic climbing skills, on the other hand, are required for a safe and effective journey. Trekkers and climbers taking on this journey should be well-prepared for the challenges of high altitudes and ever-changing alpine conditions.
The Werthum Pass Trek promises a one-of-a-kind and less-traveled route that will immerse adventurers in the natural beauty and rough appeal of the Karakoram region. It offers the chance to discover a distant and unspoiled region surrounded by towering peaks and glaciers, as well as the satisfaction of completing a high-altitude mountain pass.
